Smart Start Packages include: Physical examinations and all of the core vaccines your puppy or kitten needs, i.e. Distemper and Rabies. It also includes a fecal analysis (please remember to bring us a poop sample on your initial visit), and the first worming.

These packages do not include Bordetella (kennel cough), Flu vaccines, Lyme vaccines, Flea and Tick prevention, Heartworm prevention, microchipping or pre-anesthetic bloodwork.  These may be recommended based on your pet’s lifestyle, and are at an additional fee. Also, if your new pet is sick, necessary medications will be prescribed or dispensed at an additional fee.

The Smart Start program is a substantial savings over our ”a la carte” pricing.  In order to qualify for the Smart Start Package, you must elect one of these packages at your puppy or kitten’s first visit to the hospital. You can decide to add the spay or neuter option to your package on the second visit to the hospital if you wish.

Please note, we are NOT a spay/neuter clinic.  That means that we take our time and hold to the highest surgical standards because we don’t have to rush to do many procedures each day.  We recommend all of our surgical patients get pre-anesthetic blood testing to assess their health.  They each get an intravenous catheter and fluids to maintain blood pressure, and are monitored for temperature, heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure, and blood gasses. We may recommend pain relief medications as necessary. Both lab work and post -operative medications are an additional fee. Don’t settle for less for your new pet.
