As Your Pet Changes, So Do Their Needs

Puppies and kittens have health needs that are different from adult and senior pets.

Just like people, as puppies and kittens grow older, their health care needs change.  Unlike people, your pet enters their adult lives between the ages of 1 and 2 and their senior years around the age of 7. As pets get older, they are more likely to develop diseases such as heart disease, kidney or liver disease, cancer and diabetes, to name a few. Regular annual exams or semi- annual exams for seniors, and early detection blood testing are very important to detect potential problems before they become more serious problems later in life.
